67 ford galaxie turn signal switch

Post by pinoccio »

hi there members. im new on here. i have a ford galaxie 500 coupe and 68 dodge charger. but at the moment having indicator switch issues.with the ford galaxie. the issue is my indicator arm drops off centre as you drive, this has been bodged up in the past i think. and i have now repaired the switch with respect to i now have all indicators working. but as i say the arm will drop down as you drive. is there supposed to be a bearing and spring that is missing from my turn signal cam. i ask this as there seems to be a hole in the cam and three in the base of the cam switch. i also think the heavy indicator arm is not much help. as to me it is too heavy for the job it is doing. many thanks in advance for any help. reggie

Welcome. Reggie.

It would be good to see some pictures of the Charger!

I don't know (anything) about the Ford, but "Rockauto" is a trader on here and they may be able to provide new parts as required and also give a discount.

Where are you based?

This guy is good as well....very knowledgeable and sells very good quality reproduction switches (definitely for Mopar but maybe others). Not the cheapest but very good quality...worth reading his articles etc
