PS Of the 46, the first one was '55 Customline with a 272, I paid 10 quid for when I was 15. Some of the others I owned for a few years, others not so long. In the case of a '78 Trans Am, which I bought in 1984, I only owned it for 2 1/2 hours one Saturday afternoon! (had two of those, a black one and a primrose yellow one, which was rare).
My preference has always been big block personal luxury cars, such as Rivieras (owned a '63 and a '65) and Thunderbird ('62 and'63). Have also owned three tri Chevys (a '55 2-dr. post and '57 sport sedan and sport coupe) and I do like trucks... four F-150s, a '76 F-250, '61 F-100 stepside, '71 Ranchero 429 GT, '80 Chevy K10 stepside, '78 Blazer.
Have also had such rarities as a '57 Turnpike Cruiser and '63 Ambassador 990 wagon.
Mopars include '69 New Yorker with a 440, '73 Newport with 400, '76 Cordoba with a 360 and '77 Newport with a 400 and '70 'Cuda 383 (project in '78!).
I really must sit down and write 'em all down before senility sets in for good!

Hi Shayne,SJH wrote:Welcome to the club and with a great car. Roger was a member of our local car club and I used to see him regularly (the photo was taken at Market Bosworth). The last time I saw him he was talking about the build up of Snow White SG57, very sad................

I was lucky enough to meet Rog at the 2014 Dragstalgia. We ended up talking for a good 1 1/2 hrs. about mutual friends and acquaintances, cars, stock car racing, places we'd been, etc., etc. What was amazing was that our paths hadn't crossed many years previously!!! A great bloke missed and revered by many....
My intention is to keep the car, more or less, as it was when Rog owned it, which is restored, to how it was, when Soper & Heck ran it in the Phoenix area, in the '80's-'90's. I race it in nostalgia super stock for fun and the best so far is a 12.92.
Cheers, John
