Thinks the reg number was KGX 930G.

That looks like Bernie Chodosh in the middle of the pic - he of 'Bernie's V8's' fame.
He organises (or did) the Historic V8 circuit racing and is usually more associated with Corvettes.
We used to walk past his house (shown in that pic) on the way home from school. Never saw anything other than Corvettes though. Mind you I don't think I'd have known a RR if it ran me over back in those days.
