Alternator query, single or double pulley. Foes it matter?

Post by MilesnMiles »

Guys, need to get an alternator. My stockist has twin pulley versions only (1/2"belt)
I only need single pulley. Does it matter?
thanks.

I can't say for sure, you will have to measure the distance from the body to the centre of your pulley and see if either of the grooves line up.

I went on 440 source and they offer both types and state that a double can be used as the outside is only for air con cars.
I hope so.
