I'm going to be shopping around for insurance on the Demon over the coming few days and will call Brentacre.

Currently have it insured with Adrian Flux and their renewal price is more than I paid last year but that always seems to be the case until you call them. Last year I paid £130 and this year they want £150.

Pay £70 to insure my MGB for 8,000 miles per year as my main car, don't think I'll manage to get the Demon that cheap, though.

I use Peter James - fully comp, unlimited mileage, garaged, pretty free with regards to modifications. Very inexpensive (for me, at least) and highly recommended.

Ive just doine the shopping arround to get Jack insured. He is 17 today.
Land Rover most classic insurers wont touch until 21. Flux will though at £1185 for 1500 miles once he passes his test!

We have insured him on a 1983 Mini through A-Plan (who own Classic Line), £408 a year as a learner then extra £112 per month once passed test, BUT same policy so no claims earnt from day one. Works out about £1400 per year if he passes in 2-3 months.

I know the one benefit of being older now.

Just been on the phone to RH/Classic line and discussed the section 2 clause re parts and it appears from a talk with an underwriter that costs of parts from the states are covered. Any way I've renewed with them as it's only £103.

No, a 28 year old teacher.

Latest on the Demon insurance... dealt at £110 through Brentacre with agreed value and unlimited mileage after over an hour on the 'phone. :) They wouldn't waver a £25 charge for "new business", which I thought was ridiculous. Had they done the premium would've been £85.
