Couple of electrical queries

Post by MilesnMiles »

1- I'm fixing a parallel live feed from the alternator straight to the batttey live. Is this ok? I know some folk prefer the starter solenoid terminal, but does it matter either way? And yes, it is fused :thumbright:

2- anyone know of a battery live terminal that allows multiple wires but looks tidy. I have relays, stereo wire, starter etc and it looks a mess?

That's fine, whatever is easiest and most tidy.

I am not aware of one (Check "Vehicle Wiring Products"for ideas).

What about taking a single feed into a small fuse box on the inner fender and distributing the power that way?

Cheers

Thanks Pete, it's all a bit busy. I've already got buses for the starter terminals so as to have a break in them for easy access  to mini starter removal.
Reckon I'll just get a live terminal with extra live options. That said, maybe a multi point live bus bar could work if properly insulated.

Mercedes A class uses a + terminal with about 3 bolted on feeds plus the battery cable, worth a trip to a scrappy.
