Thanks folks!

My dad bought the dart about 4 years ago to be a family cruiser to tow the caravan to hot rod shows. When he had 'finished' it i had re mounted the 318 in it, re done some of the american butchery and he had re wired it, new interior and had it painted. It was low on on racing mags but i always wanted to go the 'super stock' look and after hanging round with Tim Holmes for a bit i soon got my way and as my dad puts it, ruined his lovely quite car :woohoo:
Best time with the stock as a rock 318/904 in it on cast manifolds was 15.52 @83 but as of last week the motor and trans is out to make way for a 408 dave billadeau is building and a reverse pattern 727 box so that should liven things up a bit.
Only problem i have is i cant drive it on the street since I'm 19 and no one will insure me so my dad drives it everywhere and i then get to Bananarama! on the track, not all bad then.

Very nice! What a great opportunity at 19!

I was still messing around with 250 Yamaha's at that age!

The 408 will liven things up a bit, I would have been tempted to keep the 904 transmission, they will handle the power, 727 is pretty much bulletproof in your application though.

we was going to keep with the 904 but a 727 and torque converter came up at the right price so went with that
