Hot Rods and Hills June 9th-11th 2017 - Lake District

Post by MattH »

Something a bit different that we are doing in the Dodge, a cruise up to the Lake District (270miles) with the A602's Hot Rod club for this weekend in the Lakes.

Anyone in or around the Lake District might see some interesting cars rumbling around all weekend.

The event is held at Parkfoot Holiday Park, Ullswater, Penrith and apparently involves a couple of cruises, one of which takes in the Kirkstone Pass!

Should be a bit of fun, and quite a challenge for the Challenger!!

We managed Le Mans so hopefully this will be OK too.

This turned into a fun weekend, 600 miles in 48 hours in the Challenger with 4 of us and luggage.
Great mix of cars, lovely scenery, rain on Saturday but cleared in the afternoon sufficiently to allow some photos of Andy's superb New Yorker.

There are photos to prove otherwise, but I prefer these shots of your car, proper car brochure setting!

I do too. That New Yorker of Andy's is absolutely stunning. The interior is mint and looks like it has been restored but is all original.

It has to be seen and sat in to believe.

To be honest , I don my cap to both of you , for making the journey.
Both still old Mopar's ,that would have been a different , but memorable , adventure in either car.
