Post by Cannonball »

Well another Nats been and gone, Us Crewe mopars had a great time as always, On the saturday night we had 23 bods in attendance All having a ball some that have been with us since the begining and some new to a drag race event Everyone would like to thank, Tony O,Jim Wilson, Tim Holmes and Rich Berry and anyone elase that helps keep this best event of the yr possible,
THANK YOU,

ps, very surprised at the lack of comments on this board about the event,, i really feel this mopar muscle ass has gone down the pan, not that many yrs ago there would have been rave reviews about the event from sunday evening on, people,s stories and pics etc,, i suppose times move on amd change. real shame you get more coverage and excitement from some dunkin doughnut event.

Lots of pics & comments on the official Mopar Euronats facebook page ;)

Btw, thanks to you Duncan for sorting me out with a Holley sight plug so quickly, after I watched with disbelief as mine dropped into the gap between cylinder head & intake manifold, apparently a black hole type of affair where parts can enter but never leave....

I know what your saying Dunc, maybe parking up in B&Q car park is the future
I had a great weekend, did 11 runs over the three days,Shame my old fella wasnt with us,first one hes missed in 24 years, but he watched on eurodragster webcam.
ProMods, Topsportsman,Gassers,superstockers :thumbright:
Seemed more organized this year, despite rain curtailing saturdays running, and dry up sunday morning.
Shame half the car drivers/racers seem to leave by dinnertime, the pairing lanes were dead after 2pm.
Heres to the 25th Mopars :thumbright:

I'd like to say thanks to the Nats crew too.
A great event as always. The weather played nice most of the time.
I agree with Dave too. With folks going at mid day Sunday. The stands were empty for the promod final.
Also went to buy some stuff from the stalls at 2.30 and they were nearly gone too.

But all in all a fantastic weekend. I even came home with a trophy I really didn't expect.

Big thanks for making it happen. Already looking forward to next year.

The face book page is only there to promote the MMA, no one can post unless they are replying to something one of the admins have put there, it was set up that way to try and get people to join us here and post.

Not everyone is here for the 1/4 mile ,some people like shows or local meets.

I personally like nothing more than to get out in the Charger as often as i can for a drive, whether it's drive to Brighton or up to London for a drive around the smoke.

I'm not really a 1/4 miler, I've done it in the past and enjoyed it, now I like to sit back and watch it.
Are we there yet dad ..... 10 to the gallon but worth it.

Most of the comments are on 'The Official Mopar EuroNats Page' facebook group rather than the MMA group!

There's also the 'UK Mopars' group, where a lot of Mopar types hang out and post.

Yes Dunc. Thanks to all. A fantastic weekend!!!!
Bumped into lots of club members , friends , and watched some great action on the black stuff. A happy man.

Drove up in my modern mope , but missed me old more door so much , I had a day off today, picked up the kids and went to see it with intention of a cruise around the farm where it currently lives. Fired up a treat , and settled to its lovely burble ( fuel is 4 years old !!!),then noticed a fuel leak from a rubber hose. Sorted that , turned the key and "click ". "Click"...........
Ah well. It won't be much, and I'll be at the Nats next year in it rain or shine !!!

;)

I think you guys are correct, it is a fantastic event.

I was absolutely gutted that I did not have a race car there this year; but this was compensated by seeing some fantastic people.

The guys and gals simply do not realise how lucky they are to have such an event, and they should most definitely not take it for granted.

Hats off to TonyO, Jim, Richard, and Tim for a stellar event.

I for one really appreciate your efforts.

All the best

I would normally take around 1000 pics at this event, sadly this year I left both cameras in the garage after hooking up the caravan, lucky if I got 30 pics on the phone and most of them are crap.

Thanks for the kind words Ducan.

Had a great time as usual and a big thanks to all who organise it. I was however surprised at the amount of members who didn't turn up. Not a dig at anyone as the weather wasn't the best.People who I normally meet up with just weren't there. Due to that the atmosphere for me felt a little flat.Didn't help when we were camping and got soaked , each night but thats the U.k weather for you. Im too old for camping in a one man tent. Im glad Del got an award , totally deserved .Will I be there next year ? Yes.. but will be in a caravan or campervan :thumbright:

Yes it was a great show, as always and thanks to the guys who organise it.

Dunc the reason for not any pictures yet could be the hosting sites are starting to charge for sharing, so the only way is to put small size here, for now, and that is not very good, but here is the best in show
