Well I had a blast, as always. Thanks to Jim, Tony, Richard, Tim and everyone that made it happen. Shame about the weather, but at least it stayed dry until the evening all 3 days.
I thought it was a very good turnout of Mopars. They have been in danger of being outnumbered by other makes in recent years, but not this year. I thought all of the Pod staff were noticeably more friendly and customer focussed. No nonsense about parking, and they certainly worked hard to keep the track open.
Mopar folks are the best. Illustrative story: We had quite a stressful journey up on Thursday evening. Long tailback on the M23 due to a wreck. Then torrential rain, noises real and imaginary from the Coronet, congestion on the M25 and M1, even at 10pm - at one point I said to Karen "we're coming in the Mustang next year". Then we parked next to Jerry's white 12 sec Fury at Toddington, and had a chat with him, Mark Sheridan et al. It lifted my spirits, I put the hammer down, and the rest of the journey was a breeze. It brought it home to me that this event is all about the people.
MOPAR NATS TEAM, THANK YOU..

I had a great time this year camping with the Essex Boys and GirlsðŸ˜
It was great to get about and renew old acquaintances and I thoroughly enjoyed all the racing. The only negative I experienced was getting wet Friday night then pretty much soaked right through on Saturday night into Sunday morning. It took a while to dry out but we made it to the track around lunchtime.
As for photos, well yes photobucket has affected me quite badly too,I am not used to Flickr yet and have yet to get the 15 plus years of piccies that I downloaded from PB onto the new site, cannot seem to work it out but I'll keep at it.
Many thanks to the Nats Team for a great event.
The Forum is tops for me so please let's stick with it.

well said Stuart - the forum is tops even if it goes quiet for a while. Still the best source of information, opinion, knowledge and helpfulness available

I had a great weekend
Many thanks to all the organisers!!
Anything about the weather has already been said, we can't do 'owt about that
Racing was great to watch, really enjoyed it, pro mods were great, gasser circus superb, but for me you can't beat the spectacle of an A, B, C or E body doing it's thang
Hats off to the chap (sorry I don't know his name) in the 'Watt's Shop' challenger that went all wobbly on Sunday, amazing recovery, I believe the crank let go
As others have said I'm having similar woes with photos due to Photobucket Bananarama'ing us over, I'm going to go the route of shrink and post direct on here until I can look at something else

We had as good weekend at the Nats, my 23rd out of 24 and I have the T shirt for every one I've been to! (only missed 2010 due to illness / poor holiday date planning).
Friday Night cruise was, in my opinion the best ever. It actually seemed better organised at the start, by the dodgems, and everyone set off together, we usually miss the gathering point and start and have to play catch up.
It was a bit of a longer drive and did rain a bit, but the venue at Sywell Airfield and Museum is lovely, big car park just for us, very nice bar / restaurant for a meal or drink, and the museum is fabulous if you like WW2 and aircraft history. It's a free museum just donations on the door but well worth a look round.
Well done to the Nats team for securing this as the cruise location and I hope we return there next time.
We did get a bit lost coming back, and I don't think we were the only ones, as Dave (Moparnutterz) followed us in his plum 71 Challenger, and I saw Roger going the other way ahead of us, having made the same wrong turn.
For the main event at the Pod there did seem to be some cars and people not there that I would normally see, but there were also a lot of new cars and faces as well which is always refreshing. The 3rd gen Chargers were superb, one of each year.
Weather was the weather, but only affected camping not the day event too much which was a blessing.
Due to logistics and lack of space we only had the club stand up on the Sunday, but it still proved to be a good meeting point, as always for MMA members.
It is always great to put faces to names and meet members that I've only spoken to by PM or e-mail before, and also great to collect the bits that have been "reserved" through the forum throughout the preceding months. I now have more goodies to fit to the Challenger, mainly a 4 barrel Holley with manifold and air filter assembly, and got some rear lights for the Power Wagon Ambulance.
Picture posting wise, the resizing issue is possibly why Facebook has more coverage as the pictures can be posted more quickly. We are hoping as a committee to try and resolve this soon to make pictures easier to post on the forum.
Next year will hopefully be announced soon, as it will be the 25th Mopar Euronats.
We are very blessed to have such a good event at Santa Pod at such a prime weekend spot in the summer (?!). I went to the Retro Show at Santa Pod in June and the show was a lot smaller than the Mopar Euronats, despite it being advertised as a huge event. The pits were quite empty compared to our weekend.
This actually surprised me, and shows how well established and what a big, well run event the Mopar Euronats really is.
I'm looking forward to 2018 (dates please Jim??) and will be more organised with my caravan this time. Running out of gas and electric at the same time was not ideal, and we couldn't work out a way to hook into the wind turbine running right above us!
