Engine machine shop advice please

Hi all

I have an engine that needs rebuilding. Fairly straightforward rebuild, nothing too fancy in terms of spec, but looks likely to need head refurbishment and block machining. I'm competent enough to disassemble and reassemble etc.

I'd prefer to go with someone recommended that is familiar with old stuff, or better still old yank stuff, as there seems to be a fair few minkeys around in the machining game and a lot is based on trust.

So can anyone make any recommendations, (preferably oop north if possible) and possibly anyone to avoid (PM me).
