12.0 at last

Post by Demon James »

Finally :D a 12.0500 on the last day of the season at Santapod.

I cant thank my family and friends from the MMA enough for a thoroughly immense year and what a learning curve

So after may tuning tweeks with what I had available it came down to ditching those 29 year old (yep 29!) tyres and whacking on a pair of slicks.

What a difference, hooks up nice and keeps straight as an arrow, no more twitchy rear end, mine or the cars

Oh, I'm the yellow one by the way ;)

What a perfect race between two Darts :thumbright:

Well done James!

A great achievement, you and your family have learned and achieved so much.

I am sure there is much more to come in the future.

For my part, that it quite an ironic Video ;)

Good result, well done.
I will get the Chally down the track, I need to be there with more time and less BMW's queuing up.

Time to spend even more money.... "Speed costs money, Boy; how much do you want to go fast" as the old saying goes...we can discuss at the NEC over a pint or two of Merlot. :pub:

Merc caught napping, I had it with just over a car length. Although he ran a 12.0 to my 12.1, nice and close, I like to think it was a ‘first across the line race” :)

I had a good chat with the merc owner it is a right tool, he had issues with it only running on one bank of cylinders so was racing it like that certainly a quick car running on half his engine ,
