Which breakdown/recovery company?

Post by MilesnMiles »

I've got fed up with RAC jacking up the price for my multi vehicle cover. £109 last year, mist £139 this year! I made no call outs in 3 years.
AA similar price
I'm not covered with my insurance
What about the following?
GEM, AUTO AID, Green Flag

Who you guys using?

I used green flag for years, and they were very reasonable. The past 4 years I have been with RAC, but they put it up every year, I just phone them , and say its too expensive , I'm leaving for a competitor, and the price comes down :D

Just had this with my insurance renewal - battle has yet to commence - but it is a bit wearing and they do not seem to value or promote customer loyalty these days...

Thanks guys, like Pete says, it's wearing. I'd just like a little customer loyalty, it barely exists with large companies any more.

I just use the 'free' breakdown cover included with the car insurance.
Never had a problem with whichever local breakdown firm turns up.
Maybe consider switching to an insurer that includes it?
One less hassle to deal with.

even says on the renewals, 'sit back and relax and we do everything'.............but fails to say they are really try it on, hoping a small percentage of people cant be arsed to check it and just pay

RAC for my wife and myself, any car (including classics) with a return home or to destination option £57 per year.

You have to use cashback/comparison sites - each year they jack the price up for me but join as a new customer each time.
