I might be a bit late for this post, have you thought about a vinyl cover over it maybe in another shade of gold?. mine had a white painted stripe and i recovered it black, with the help of my sign writing mate.

I like it, matches the roof.

Maybe not stock but MoPars were never known for not using a lot of decals on their Muscle cars anyway, some very large ! :thumbright:

I agree the thinners route is worth trying, if it was aerosol'd on there's a good chance it will come off without base paint damage IF you take your time and are super cautious. If you get through to the original paint then wipe off the thinners right away and wait before coming back to that bit. That really is cautious cos it takes a while for thiners to mess up the original paint but better safe than sorry....
