advise need on wheels!?
I have tried me slot mags on the front of the challenger they are 8x14 appliance. I have been advised I need a pair of spacer plates because the rims are rubbing on the A arm slightly and the inside of the wheel doesn't sit flush on the drum face. Can you still buy the spacer plates (they don't need to be very deep) (only about quarter of inch) ? And are 8 inch rims too wide for the front really? Please can any one help with advise?
I would think that would be a bad idea on standard lug nut studs due to depth of Nut engagement - it would not work on Rallyee wheels but might on Slots. Spacers put more load on the Studs as well - imagine turning in hard....
I personally (here we go again) think 8" rims are too wide on the front but others will disagree.
I run spacers on the Barracuda for clarance (on the rears) but have after market shafts with 3" long Studs.
Just my 2c's worth....

Your problem is either incorrect backspacing on the wheel or it is under 15" in diameter. Sounds like you have too much backspace (Maybe 5 inches?) or too little diameter.
The widest you can safely go on the front of a normal 15" wheel on a stock Challenger is 7 inches with a 235/60/15 tyre.
Bigger than that and you have to be very careful or be prepared to cut the wheel lip and remove the brace above the wheel.
With the above mods i have been able to use a 15x8 wheel with 4.5-inches of backspace and a 245/60/15 tyre.
I thought you had a Charger? Or am I confused?

I think i sounded sarcastic in my reply. Sorry for that. I was trying to point out that a simple measurement around your existing wheels and tyres would show you what is possible to fit before handing over money.
OK so they are 8x14. 4 inch backspace.
They are too wide for the diameter basically. 14" wheels on Challengers and Chargers were only 5 or 6 inches wide. To go that wide you need to go to 15" at least. Plus you need more backspace to bring the tyre under the wheel arch lip.
You got done.
