Calling any Hemi Ram quad cab owners.

Post by Mossy68 »

After a bit of knowledge.
I’ve been thinking of letting my SRT10 go to a new home , as i only had visions of enjoying it for a year , then moving it on.
17 moths later I’m still addicted!!!
So , I get 13 mpg if I’m sensible, about 6 if I’m not !!!
Oil and filter change at every 3000 Miles at a cost of about £150 ( mobile 1 0/40 which I do myself ) , plus usual stuff. Oh and I do like to upgrade the crap factory stuff , ie oil and p/s lines etc.
Any way. I’m after actual running costs on a Hemi quad cab. ?
If we’re only talking a few mpg , and similar running costs , then I’ll keep it till the addiction goes , or it kills me !!!!

:D

Never run a late Ram but I can’t imagine there’s a huge difference in mpg. You’d get some change I guess if you traded for a similar year truck, not sure that would convince me enough.

Well you lot ain’t any help are ya !!! :D

I’ve just emptied it completely. Normally has some thing in the bed ( tools , crap , whatever),
And it’s like it’s had a blower added !!

Not helping my “ trying to be sensible “ head !!

I had a 2004 SRT 10 single cab so a 6 speed manual. I got 11 mpg and 12 mpg whilst towing. Had to drive it a bit more sensibly with the trailer on. One of the best thing I have owned and I have had some! Had it from 2006 to 2011.
Currently got a 2016 Ram Sport crewcab Hemi that gets 16mpg and doesn't seem any different towing the trailer. I had a gas conversion so 60p a litre.
Drives okay but not a patch on the SRT 10
