Half inch oil pick-up. Is it worth it?

To convert to half inch makes sense in my book, only if you consider that I've never heard of a big block blow up due to too much oil! :)

I drilled out all the relevant oilways including that REALLY long one to the centre main (I made the drill for that one!) and I radiused every accessible junction in the oilways.

Fitted a high volume (not high pressure) oil pump and so far I haven't blown it up...but it's comparitively early days yet, mainly because the RWYB season doesn't start for a few weeks! ;)
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

I had the dual external lines and pickup and got sick of priming it every time it stood, also i had to take the steering link out every time i wanted to drop the sump. I have now changed to internal 1/2" pickup and regular deep sump, the tap cost me about 38 quid for one hole.

as i said before , if anyone needs the tools to do this i have them , all it will cost is a beer (or jelly babies if your name is Kev :shock: ) and postage.
