Anyone had any dealings with these ?
I'm looking for a new work Mopar , and seem to be more of these readily available, than the LA ,or Hemi.
I've always steered clear, due to too many horror stories of mayonnaise in your oil !!!
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

All i've heard is that they are under powered for the weight of the tuck.
Have no personal experience of this though!!

I would stick with the LA and Hemi engines, those 4.7,s were from what I heard ,Mercedes last gasp before Chrysler got liquidated ,and yes very under powered, and not good mpg either

Cheers chaps.
Mpg isn't a deal breaker , more reliability and lack of issues.
Appreciate your replies

I had a 4.7 V8 for many years as my daily driver.
Quite good, mechanically quiet, never let me down, but as said not good on fuel - I think my 5.7 is actually better; and the Hemi goes a LOT better.
