Noice car, did it start lif as a 340 car with the hood and valence etc ???? Jims chall tagtop is like that and also non rally dash instruments to, I notice your dash the black soft part is the wrong one and from a later challenger

Yes I think it did. Also the vin says it’s a 1970 340.

I’ve been in contact with Jim and he says it’s a 340 A66 with the Performance Package so would have had the hood as standard.

It’s a late 1970 car so maybe they fitted the 71 dash. I’ve seen a few 1970 Challengers with similar dashboards.

I think his car was an R/T. Reg: AKV 26H.
I understand this car was imported to the UK in 2005. Has New York license certificate on the windscreen from 2004.

Yes I just meant at a quick glance it's very similar and brought Dave's car to mind straight away. At a closer look the 2 cars are quite different in fact.

Oh yes........that's some car!!!! 340 supposed to be a great engine in the E bodies....beautiful and love the Mustang too :thumbright: :thumbright:

Well the Dukes of Hazzard comments have started. Everyone says it's the General Lee. I can't be bothered to explain that that was a Charger, so just nod. And someone asked if it was a Cortina.

Yesterday took it and my Mustang to our local for my Birthday lunch.

Looks like fun. Both cars look fantastic. That front end on the Mustang looks really mean! :twisted: :twisted:

Excellent Mark, worth waiting and you got a 70 in one of the best colours, and the best engine combo for an E body.
