Wiper motors

Ok I'm confused.

My wiper motor looks like all the 3 speed motors on Ebay.com but I only have a 3 position switch (off, 1st speed, 2nd speed).

We don't count "off" as a speed do we?

Should be a 4 position switch, maybe the motor has been replaced at some time, (or the switch).

Thanks for the link Mick, it answers my query about if its the mismatched switch thats causing my problem, I'll have to pull the motor and test it out before replacing the wires, then I can be sure I'm not wasting my time with it.
