1969 Barracuda

A very good mate of mine is interested in this machine.

It was on eBay until a couple of weeks ago and is still for sale. The advert reads well and it appears to have some nice stuff in it. Does anyone know this car well enough to proffer an opinion please?

It certainly looked good to me,RHD seems reasonably frequent with these were they converted by a dealer in this country or imported done?

They were built by Chrysler in Canada, Australia and South Africa, factory built not some UK lash up like Mustangs of that era. I had a RHD '68 that was Canadian assembled. Tony O is getting together all sorts of information about the RHD Barracudas with a view to publishing it. I believe I'm right in saying Warwick Wright in West London were the UK Rootes dealer that sold all the RHD Barracudas and they were as expensive as an Aston Martin when new...

Quite,my Father passed on an Allard for a £5 in the sixties in favour of a Morris Minor Convertible.

I have a RHD 1969 barracuda. They were built in Hamtramk, Detroit, and were given vallient dashes and remote oil filters and as you said, sold by Warwick Wright. I believe mine was the last one sold as it is a J registration and was the dealers demonstrator

yes that's a Hamtamck one

will have the slightly fatter torsion bars and the 4 pot brakes i would think

and still has the mirror blanking plate for the passenger door, usually thrown away.

parts are easy aussie lower balljoints aussie pitman and idler all fit
