Was in Sarasota / Orlando / Keys a few months back and yes fuel’s super cheap. We rented a V8 Mustang and drove 2000 miles in a week, even with the rubbish exchange rate and spirited driving was much cheap than driving in the UK. Our Government rips us off with tax.

Just back from Iceland, around £150 a liter there. Crete a few months ago was dearer there than here also.
Lifes Too Fast But The Car`s Not, It even managed to miss the boat twice.
Now passed customs.
Now on route.
Now in posession.
Now costing me sh*t loads.
Don't forget that a US Gallon is actually less than an Imperial one (3.8l vs 4.5l) but it's still far cheaper over that side of the pond. Most of our cost is duty rather than the actual product.

I drove 5500 miles in 3 weeks in a Honda Accord around the West Coast of the States, North to South, Seattle to LA, West to East from LA as far as Idaho and it cost me just over £100 in fuel. The most I paid was $1.21 per gallon in Kingman, AZ and that was when the pound was strong against the dollar. It was 1997 though....
PS My pal Todd in Preston, Idaho (yes the Napoleon Dynamite Preston) said there would be rioting if it went above $2 per gallon!!
