I saw one flash on new section of SMART M5 as a car went passed me, thought it was for me, checked my speed 73 ish, but he was a lot more as came fast and went faster.

And there was no speed restriction ON at the time.

Been told they work on SMART motorways, the one with yellow side cameras all the time for faster than speed limit.

I got done on the M40 in Thames Valley 3 years ago on the way to Heathrow. My speed crept up to 82mph and a van on a bridge caught me. I did a speed awareness course and have to say that I enjoyed it and (especially since retiring and not being in a rush anymore) I now stick rigidly to all speed limits, especially on the motorway. Most of the static cams in the West Mids have been switched off.... good news....no.... there are vans now in random spots so its really not worth speeding anywhere now. Amazing how many people get wound up by drivers who stick to the speed limit.

I had heard that the HALDEC cameras on the M6 do enforce the 70 limit. Even more reason not to speed

Don't you see bit by bit we are being boxed in, if you are not the doddering old man type driver and do drive not stupid but don't hang around your on pins, cops/cameras/peoples fin dash cams, you might sit back and think its all for the good,,,, but where will it end our grand kids lives will be toss or there kids, I am certain a big war will come to make it start over you can not breathe for rules and regulations, Bananarama! em and there law,
