Hmmm!!! not really got time need some advice

As some of you may know I am on with putting a 318 in a MK3 cortina.

Well the thing is I now work for the man 5 days a week and not self employed anymore. As I was when I built both the last Mk3 and the Audi. I don't have time in my life to create a new car' go to work' have holidays' weekends away' spend time with the wiff' plus whatever life throws at you '''???

I really need a V8 in my life and Mopar really fills the hole, I may have to admit defeat and buy something with a V8 already in it ..???

The thing is I cant do left hand drive and my garage and access to garage are restricted in size .

What could I buy that would give me what I want

Yes av seen that ,looked it up for size already its 2foot longer and a foot wider than the tina

6.1ft wide ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 5.5ft wide

I can accommodate the length, but the garege door is only 6ft 6in wide

There's south african and aussie stuff as others have mentioned, but I would imagine the two I've suggested above are the easiest to get hold of.

I still have a hankering for a Triumph Stag,plenty of 70s cheese with a V8 soundtrack.Or I dare say a early Mustang would fit the garage. Hotrod ? Their dimensions might work too. Nice Pop with Woolfies and a chrome Jag IRS

Most UK aussie chargers were 318 v8 one was 340 v8 and you could get them with a 360

many Aussie, Aussie chargers were 265 I6 becasue that was the motor used on the race track in saloon car racing, so that's what the punters wanted

standard 265 gave mush the same performance as the 318 but went round corners better.

aussie charger in australia kinda occupied the same place in peoples hearts as the capri and cortina here

aussie charger is a big car (US compact ha ) but its 6 inches to a foot or so shorter than every other mopar made

it is however a little bit wider at the rear than a us A body

fits a standard 70s garage Just.

You need an aussie charger....
(barracuda is narrower but longer and so is Dart)

They pop up here from time to time

or ask on Aussie Car owners UK on facebook a number of them have passed through the hands of the guy who admins it called Andy harris he used to be on here but was a little disruptive from time to time

charger XL charger RT will be 265 6 cylinder charger 770 (i.e most cars in the UK) will be Luxury spec/GT spec 318 engined cars designed to compete in a niche market occupied by jensen at one end and reliant scimitar at the other i.e odd shaped cars with big motors that cost too much and used too much petrol in the oil crisis of the early 70s

Now you will all have to bear with me, I've always been a Uk car man, so my knowledge of American and Australian cars is limited, I do know lots of American cars but only the ones I love the look of, like chargers' mustangs' and Pontiac's and only certain years.
Whatever I buy I will have to like it for its looks.I know I know I am shallow but that's the way I am

Its more than I want to spend, and its too nice I like to do them myself, I know I said I dont have the time. But tinkering with a car isnt like creating one
