At last the Coronet is on the road and i must thank Steve Foster and American auto for the help they have provided. The car is a numbers matching 318 auto which is mostly original but with just a few changes such as the Turbo Thrust wheels, dual exhaust system,Air struts on the rear and new front struts and a new fuel tank. The car has been comprehensively serviced, complete brake overhaul including new shoes, wheel cylinders and hoses but i will install a servo over the winter, all fluids/oils changed including gaskets. Power steering overhauled new seals/hoses and now works perfectly. I took the Dodge for a 200mile test drive on the hottest day and performed really well and will use her regularly including a touring holiday in Yorkshire in September. Will send a picture when i find how to do it. I am to technology what King Herod was to babysitting !!

Wow, love that car Mike! Always liked 65 Coronets
It would be great to see it at Brooklands on Sunday

Under normal circumstances i would have loved to have gone to Brooklands but i start my tour of Yorkshire in the Coronet. I HAVE EVERTHING CROSSED THAT SHE BEHAVES HERSELF. Glad you like the car as the fashion seems to favour Chargers and Challengers which are superb but out of my price range now. My first Coronet was in 1978 and it was a '69 440 RT with police pursuit package ,buckets and a host of options and four on the floor. Boy do i miss that car!!RobTwin wrote: Fri Aug 30, 19 12:26 am Wow, love that car Mike! Always liked 65 Coronets![]()
