That’s sad news, I bought the vInyl EP (remember those) back in the seventies with Do anything you wanna do, Get out of Denver and Gloria on it. Probably still got it somewhere. 63 that’s too young RIP.

I read about this yesterday on faceache... shame it didnt make the News At Ten :(

We bought that EP too Martin, Woolworths, if memory serves

Never did get to see them play tho. Feb 76 at the Marquee would have been a good one... supported by the Sex Pistols

Live at the marquee and the reading line up. 3 of us went to it from Ni, no tent and if any of you older chaps were there, you'll know it was very wet.

RIP Barry.

That’s one hell of a line up at Reading 77😎
The Arrow FM used to play”Do anything you wanna do” pretty much every day until they stopped broadcasting a couple of weeks back. What stations do you chaps listen to?

Our first Reading was 79 and went to a few after that but I'd have swapped them all to have gone in 77... loads of my fave groups there :salute:

Popmaster now we’re talking 👍

I listen to Planet Rock but find it gets a bit relentless after a couple of hours.

Same here Stew. I wish they'd open up their playlists to all the thousands of other songs the bands have done rather than playing the same couple by each band that I've grown tired of over the last... umpteen years
I used to listen to Xfm until it changed to Radio X when it became more about the dj's than the music
So now i flick between Talksport, Radio 5, Planet Rock and Absolute Classic Rock. Should really give 6 Music a go tho :-k

Looking at that Reading poster from 1977 I see Widowmaker were playing. I went to see them at Guildford Uni around the same time with my mate. It was so loud I couldn’t hear the engine on my Triumph on the way home because my ears were ringing so badly. No wonder I’m half deaf nowadays.
