1969 Barracuda speedo cable

Post by Steve h »

Hi guys, I'm having some trouble getting the correct speedo cable for this rhd barracuda.
The nut is too small on the gearbox end,the parts supplier said it must be a truck box.
is there a easy way to tell what type of gearbox this is,
Thanks

Assuming you already have a cable, just send it to Speedy cables and they will make you a new one. To positively identify your transmission, there is a number stamped in a flat area above the pan rail below the shifter linkage on the LH side. I very much doubt you've got anything unusual and for whatever reason you've been supplied the wrong cable.
