Well these guys are down the road from me and and a friend of mine has sold a few tidy motors from Columbia to them and I seem to have been his lift home not that I've minded having a nose around the warehouse. Anyway - this listing is going live so I checked it out. Decode on the VIN...BG....BG, not BH, not BS, not BP? Well BG turns out it was a NeW York Taxi!! Blimey..learn something everyday, looks like they took the meter from the oics

Re: barra-cuda coming up - themarket
I’ll be interested to see whether they say the 440 engine is original to the car or not, as the largest engines for the Barracuda / Cuda were the 340 and 360 in late 73.
Re: barra-cuda coming up - themarket
The door sticker photo looks like BH, so Barracuda not Cuda and G is 318 car.sublimemike wrote: Tue Nov 16, 21 9:18 pm https://themarket.co.uk/en/listings/ply ... c90d9500d3

They listed a black 69 442 a few months back as "numbers matching" despite it having had an 455 in place of the 400 so I'd not be surprised if it's described as "orginal" and then they'll rely upon the disclaimers to wash their hands in the event of a complaint. Not that I'm cynical, you understand.Mark B wrote: Wed Nov 17, 21 7:22 am I’ll be interested to see whether they say the 440 engine is original to the car or not, as the largest engines for the Barracuda / Cuda were the 340 and 360 in late 73.
That being said, the description (so far) is clearly referring to it as a Barracuda so I may be giving them an undue bad press.
If anyone is interested in this car, you may want to carefully review the documentation to see if the torsion bars were upgraded when the 440 was dropped in. Those fitted as standard to a 318 were less robust than on a 440 car to my knowledge.

Good spot Matt. I was just going off the VIN number they listed as BG. Well we will have to wait for the write up to find if it was a NY Taxi or if indeed their description is inaccurate.

I can't see how a 2 door 'coupe' can be practical as a taxi. So would imagine there's a typo in there somewhere.
