TQ carb needed

Post by Spaniel »

Hi everyone, just joined the forum. I have a 73 charger 340 magnum. I’m looking for a thermoquad carb number 6319S or 6319. My throttle shaft and linkages are badly worn. It works something like but it could be better so donor carbs required. If your phenolic body is shot but the throttle plate is good then I’m interested. Luckily my resin body is very good. Heres a couple of pics of my car. Most fun thing I’ve ever bought ! Hoping to get to Elvinton on the 13th of feb for the straight liners do.
Bye for now

Welcome and great car! Looks mean with those blacked out wheels. I've always liked this shaped Charger.

Sure you will find what you need. Good used Edelbrock and Holley carbs pop up pretty regularly as a back up plan maybe?

Welcome to the club.

Great looking Charger.

Are you going for a TQ for originality purposes?

Personally, I think there are better options, but it's your call.

Thanks for the warm welcome. ! I’ve known this car about 14 years but only owned it for the last two. My mopar nut friend decoded the vin and found it to be an original 340 magnum and it left the factory with its Ralleye dash, bonnet and mirrors and still has its original motor with stock headers and air pan and obviously carb. It was originally antique gold as I found when I repainted it recently but it came in orange and I like it ! I’m not particularly a “ standard is best” person but it all kinda works and the sticking with the TQ is partly the fab noise it makes when ya floor it and it actually works reasonably well. Anyway, that’s enuff of me rabbiting on. Might meet some of you at Elvington on the 12/13th of feb.
Cheers
