Our first time there was about 35 years ago so we're relative newcomers to this first-Sunday-of-the-month meet!
Had a good chat with the owner of the '1600 HP' E-Type who’s only had it a couple of years and is slowly but surely getting it back to original spec. It was just the 5th RHD car to be produced (August ’61) but was exported to the US and only came back to the UK and first registered here in 2012.
We were getting it mixed up with ‘9600 HP’ but that was the Geneva Motor Show car and is the only surviving prototype and the oldest surviving E-Type.
1600 HP is worth £300k+ so gawd knows what 6900 HP is worth!

Despite that, I think the car I’d have taken home would have been the Alfa Montreal or even the Lotus Europa, if I could get into it. I’m sure the 49 Cadillac would be a bit more comfortable tho

As Stu mentioned elsewhere, this was the first trip out for our Sport Satellite since our 'misplaced pushrod' episode on new years day, so it was a bit of a shakedown run, but all seems good so far, after about 40 miles
