It doesn't have one as it goes under the floor into the tank. Petrol cap is behind the number plate.

There’s normally some kind of pad between the tank and the floor, you could make your own from anything that has a bit of give in it to be honest.

I put a new tank in mine , whilst i was there i replaced the sender unit and the pad ..Money well spent in my book..Great looking car

Thank you Pete. I have a new sender and will workout what i can use as a 'pad'.

Did you guys just put the bare tank in or did you paint/coat it in anything to protect it form stones etc?

New tanks come zinc plated so I just gave mine a coat of paint and installed it.

I left mine zinc plated as i like that look ,,,,,the pad i brought on line ,they do repos and mines a 64 so it might fit yours as well ..Tank straps i had but i brought the hook bolt ??if that makes sense .... Nor sure if the 62s are the same as the 64s ...

Thanks Pete. I’ll order a new strap from Rock auto when I order the tank this week and I have got a mechanical pump.

I’ll look into the correct pad.

i got my pad from Mancinis 64 does fit a 62 ......

Been ripping out and remaking off some dodgy connections to get me through until winter. Apologies if people were struggling to get hold of crimps in the past….appears they were all used on my car over the years. Had a new headliner fitted…just rear screen to remove, so the trimmer can finish off around the rear screen and sail panels. New rear screen gasket has been ordered from Steel products. The headliner was marked up correct for my car but the way the stitching goes we are not sure but I’m happy with it. The interior will all be ‘medium red’. Carpet has been ordered and the trimmer is matching up the door and seat vinyl best he can to the headliner.

Headliner looks good to me. I like a nice tidy interior, so will be great to see this matched up.

Hi Bryan, if you do decide to paint your tank, be careful not to paint where the round flange where the sender & sealing ring goes, because if you do and it gets petrol on it, you could get bits of flaky paint in the tank when you remove the sender.
I had that issue on our Satellite.

We bought new door cards etc from Legendary, or was it SMS? (can't remember) for our 63. Not cheap and i still had to cut 1/4" off the door card as it prevented the door shutting.

Yours will look great when done. (not that it doesn't look great now, mind)
