Thank you guys. I bought a new tank from Rock auto and I’ll be leaving it as is. It seems to have a some kind of protection on it. I’ve looked a legendary and can’t find anything for the 62. Will check sms. Rear screen seal should be here next week, so the trimmer and window guy can Bananarama!. The trimmer will pad out the sail panels to stop the dynomat coming through.

Bryan - that's the sweary filter doing it's job, tho it can tell that you're trying to say 'finish (it)'... without the brackets ;)

Been swapping out the third member today. 2.76 coming out and 3.23 going back in.

Seemed to go pretty smoothly and doing it on my own.

Back to my unit Sunday to install the 3.23 third member.

I’ve been reading different stories about replace the bearings and bearings don’t need replacing.

I’m taking a chance and not replacing…we will see. They are green bearings and not the tapered type. Gaskets will be replaced though and the bearings will get a good coating in bearing grease.

New diff fitted and road tested… all good. Moved on to removing the old fuel tank. The trunk floor had a hole cut into it to wire up the sender, the fabricator in the unit next to ours is going to weld a patch in tomorrow. While I was messing in the boot I thought I’d tidy it up by scrapping off the silicone that had been used to stick down some rubber matting 🙈. Turned into a bit of a mission as not the easiest to remove. It will get a good sanding back and then a respray. Extended the wires off the instrument cluster plug aswell so I can get that working.

Photos to follow when the site allows me to upload them 🤷‍♂️

try a wire wheel on either a drill or better yet a grinder. that'll get the silicon of lickety split :thumbright: and any paint left too if you go with the grinder. wire cup wheels are best, just watch for wire strands flying off as they'll dig in your skin easily.

Patch welded into the floor to hide the hole which meant I could get the New fuel tank and sender fitted. We tested the fuel sender with the original instrument cluster and the fuel gauge works…yippee. Was looking through the forum regarding coolant expansion tanks and came across Blues Kawasaki mod..so found one on eBay and made up a bracket and trial fitted…all good. Just need to paint the bracket black and space out the top mounting hole… I made some holes in the bracket for the bottom locating pins. Factory original radiator fitted which has been pressure tested, just need to get a shroud from Mancini to Bananarama! off…I hated the big 26” ally rad that was fitted. Also swapped out the torker inlet manifold for a performer and also fitting a new street avenger 670….just waiting on some longer carb studs so I can fit the 1/2” phenolic spacer.

Does anyone know where to get some thin wall 3/8 hose for the overflow… I bought some hose but it’s too thick to fit on the outlet under the rad cap?

I don’t know why but I can’t seem to upload any pics anymore….just a black box appears instead of the photo 🤷‍♂️. Might be something to do with my new iPhone.
