pitman arm seal

Post by Chris&Adam »

Hi Guys,
Its that time of year again.........MOT TIME !!!!!!!!
I have found that the rubber boot on the end of the pitman arm is split and I know my local MOT guy can spot these at 100 yards, blindfold!!! Is it possible to just replace the rubber boot or do I need to replace the whole arm? Either way, any help on where I can get the required oarts quickly?
Thanks in advance for you help.

The boot is an easy swap, the pitman on the other hand is not ! If you struggle I will have a dig in the bits box, I will see if you get one tomorrow :)

IF the joint has a grease nipple a torn or missing boot is NOT a fail at MOT put one on though as the wet and grit will kill the joint quickly.
