20% increase (obvs) but the underwriter is no longer offering and they have transferred me to a new underwriter - with the same name.

The other odd thing is the agreed value seems to have gone and the wording is weird -

Your current insurer Markerstudy Insurance Co Ltd are currently not offering renewals,
so your cover will be transferred to Markerstudy Insurance Co Ltd for the same price it
would have been. The cover and terms are almost the same – we will discuss this with
you in more detail when you contact us

"Almost the same" ? I'll be calling in the morning I guess.
Hey Morgan, what was the outcome of your insurance ?
The gist of it was they had a cap of how many policies in a company - so they had to setup another one. It generates a standard piece of blurb to say “the underwriter has changed”.

I did discover I am undervalued though - so taking the opportunity to get MMA report done etc.

Mine from Adrian Flux was £199 inc legals and breakdown on a £40k valuation (£15 more for agreed value) I think the valuation plays a big part in the premium

So, just had my renewal notice from Brentacre, it says, markerstudy not currently offering renewals, so we are transfering you to markerstudy.???
Then it shows my renewal has gone up to £160 from £110 and the total excess from £100 to £250. After phoning them, they said it was because they do this after you reach a certain age. I reached that certain age two years ago, and they did not alter it then. They will not budge on the price, or offer an alterative insurer. I have been with them for several years and this is very dissapointing

Just had our renewal through from Classicline. Had to get the values renewed through the club and they are the same as they were two years ago.

In 2022 it was £348 for both cars. 2023 it went up 3.4% to £360. This year it has gone up by 20% to £430

My other cars have been going up over the last couple of years too, but 20%, that's quite a hike!

I was told by an insurance brooker that must none clssic car insurance has gone up by over 60%

I appreciate 20% is a big increase, that said, £430 for 2 cars seems like a bargain to me

Its that time again.

Brentacre wanted 320 with a 40k value. I amended value pending new valuation etc and it went to £420.

3 years ago I was paying about £150 i think. :?

Migrated to Flux.
Quote was more competitive although it did go up a lot from the website quote.
I'll report back once I have the agreed value done etc (which is the only sticking point - they need to see pics etc before they will lock it in) but assuming all OK, then settled on £290. (3k miles, £60k )

Been with Flux for a couple of years, ended up with three vehicles with them, which they have proceeded to bang up at an alarming rate.

Just had a renewal quote with yet another increase in from them and they will be getting a phone call to say no very shortly…
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

They are all at it - My Brentacre was like £150 or something and went to £420 by the time we were done this year.
We'll have a year of Flux and see how we go...

Had been with Brentacre for several years, last year my premium went up over 50% due to markerstudy. They said it was due to passing a certain age which I had done three years earlier!.This year I got less than two weeks to renewal and had heard nothing from them, so I rang them. After giving my post code and name , was told they did not know who I was. After giving more personal info, they said, O yes, got it,then gave me the quote from last year. I told them I would not be renewing. Four days later I got the same renewal quote papers in the post, and a text with the same quote. ???
