So fitted the right hand door yesterday,
Fitted on really just needed a bit of therapy,
Done the filler work to the right quarter,
Corrected the door and got it in polyester,
Just the left side quarter and roof to prepare now !
Thank goodness!

Yes for a AMD panel they are not bad, currently at 210 or 5mm, can get them a tad tighter but need a reduced shim on the B post striker,
but plenty good enough for day to day use,
Ive already decided not to be anal with body gaps, im not restoring a show queen, from its inception its always been about getting the car as corrosion free, and as structurally strong as i can,
Im still debating whether subframe connectors are worth the effort,

But i feel like im finally getting somewhere now, ive worked on the car now almost every Friday and Saturday for 12 months now, bloody hard going
and knocking on the door of 800 hours, when i include the stuff ive restored throughout the year at work.......
just imagine what that invoice would say , scary stuff,

if you don't go with subframe connectors maybe just fit solid subframe bushings. i know ally ones are available but hard nylon/plastic ones will be easy enough to make up if not. :thumbright:

I’ve already brought a full poly kit
Which actually looks pretty good, nice plated bolts and washers etc

I could beef up the front quarters, as they form part of the front structure.

Got the left rear quarter squared and now in primer,
Just the roof to do now, I’ll need to local blast it again and the epoxy it,
Fortunately I’ve now completed most of the hard work and it’s starting to look like a car again!

Just gone over 800 hours !

Haha yep it’s not ideal but you have to work with what you’ve got!
Ironically my biggest problem is still working 4 days a week doing a very very manual labour job!
To be honest it was a daft thing to take on,
But as Del would say “ who dares “ !
