dash binnacle

Has anyone got any good ways of removing paint from the plastic on the dash binnacle where someone has previously painted it?

I was thinking of experimenting with thinners?

I'll re paint it afterwards

Thinners may be to harsh i would try some panel wipe but go carefully as it may melt the dash
