Cheap and effective Parts washer fluid???

Post by MrNorm »

What do you use? Mine seems to have run out of steam. It's pretty ineffective at removing grease, I may as well run it under a tap!
90% of the time I use a trigger spray with gun wash and a toothbrush, which is very effective and I'm happy with, but occasionally I like to use the parts washer and immerse stuff completely.

Needs to remove grease (old and hard) and not leave crappy residue! Also not all evaporate out of the parts washer!

Paraffin sounds like a popular choice!

Where can you get that from these days?

I usually use tins of brake cleaner, just spray it on and wipe part clean.

yeah, that's similar to my gun wash (but more ??!) but not for immersing parts in (unless you have a sealed tank).
