URGENT HELP NEEDED!!

Post by Jeff »

I use Torco 80W-90 gear oil in the axle.. It has a limited slip additive. I have run out and need some before I can go this week end. Anyone got some? Know where I can get some? OR have/Know an altenative oil I can use? Call me on 07763 288122 or 01763 222482.

Please?

Look in your Yellow ages for an oil supplier Jeff. Most tractors use this stuff or something very close. I use agricultural limited slip diff oil in my axle. It is CHEAP but does the same job.

You do need the additive Jeff, it's a 'friction modifier' without which the suregrip may not work properly.

I used LSD oil from Shell, (i.e. it's the oil with the additive already in it) got it in my local spares place, I spoke to Shell about it and it is the right stuff. I have some left but not sure it would be enough. Let me know if you want me to check,

I use the Kendall stuff with no LSD additive as it says it's okay on the bottle. I asked Paul Mitchell (White Whale GSX Buick) who builds our rearends  and he said it is okay. My SureGrip seems to work okay. Have I been a bad boy? :?

Gavin.
If you can check for me, that would be great. I do not need much. I do pass your way in the evenings.

I have a few options now, so I should be OK for the HRDRAGS!

Have a big bottle full of gas now too.

I could do with some new plugs! What are recommendations at short notice.

Nowt like leaving it till the last min. eh?

Well thanks Alex.... I have a bottle of "Mopar" LSD additive. And Joe is picking up some oil!

It has been quite a intetresting thing this.... I have found a very good supplier of oils, Mineral and synthetic, he also stocks Earls hoses and fitments at a good rate, plus a lot of other stuff... Gave me a great discount too! All I gotta do is put his stickers on me car!
