Grille refurbishing

Post by Wolfman »

Two questions for the guru's, any bright ideas for stripping old paint off of my grille. And two i cleaned a bit off, and got back to the argent finish underneath but it looks like mine had a metal flake overlay, has someone painted metal flake on the grille before or did they come with this finish over the argent. What do you think, there should be a photo with this message. Let me know what you think
Many thanks guys

Argent is a sort of metalflake finish, some variations are very sparkly indeed !

:iagree:

Looks like the dark/med textured Argent. I've heard various suggestions for stripping ranging from plastic media blasting to oven cleaner (really, it's the lye I believe ).
