power valve

I just checked the vacuum on my 440 & at idle it fluctuates between 5 & 6, does that mean I need a 3 hg valve? I tested it before doing mods & got 17 hg so there is a 10.5 hg valve in there at the mo. I`ve fitted a comp cams 292h cam,torker2 inlet, & ported heads (slightly bigger valves),so the powervalve will be open at idle,is that right?

You are right on all counts. A 3.5" valve will probably do.
