Welcome Russ! Well it is your car so you can do what you like. Many (most?) of us have modified cars, so it's not like we're a club of purists (nothing wrong with that either).
Still, having said that.....Noooooooooooooo!! Sorry mate, I couldn't help it. Really I've also driven LHD cars in this country for over 20 years and it really is NO hassle - I like it, I agree it adds to the experience. It really would be a shame to put all that time, money, and skill into something that will lose you money, not give any benefit, and have a lot of people saying 'that's a shame' instead of 'what great work'.

FWIW, I worked (in Ford) on the import programme of the Ford Bronco II to the UK many years ago. We used an Aussie RHD steering box, but had to work out all the suspension geometry etc, and had the backup of the Ford computer in the US to check what we did. A proper job that handles well, is safe etc etc is not an easy job.
But it is your car, your decision, still be a nice car! (just not as nice as before
