Front hub nut torque?

Front hub nut torque?

1974 Dart, 10" front drums. The manual sez 70lbs torque for the front hub nut. Seems a bit hight o me. Can anyone verify that figure,please?

If you HAVE done 'em up to 70lb/ft you'll be needing new 'uns :?

Phew,just as well i checked! Book (Haynes, yes, I know :oops: ) said lbs per foot :shock:
Thats why i checked! Cheers Kev, i'll do 'em up now!

ps Mike has the headers for you tomorrow, hope it all works out.

Thanks for the clarification, Steve. I did as you (and Mike) suggested and went by 'feel'. seems to run out ok.
