Get That Air Con Offa Dat Ting

Post by Anonymous »

Good Day everyone.

I want to remove the aircon from my car, but am a little mystified about belt positioning etc. once compressor is gone.

Can anyone provide pictures of how the belts run with aircon gone.

Do I need to re-align any ancilliaries to suit the pulleys I will have left to play with or are there such things as pulleys for non-aircon cars (alignment-wise)

The car is a 70 Charger RT (440)

Merci Beaucoup

Easiest way to go is reproduction pulleys from Bouchillon Performance (do websearch) . Got them for my small block A/C removal.

Oh yeah , I think you'll also need different P/S pump bracket (again from Bouchillon), and alternator bracket (Year 1) . Belts from Halfords , job done !

Clivey, you might not want it but i do!!

My engine currently has a non air con set up complete. Car had air con but it was converted, but i want to convert it back

Even better, just to make things easy, the engine is on the floor as we speak.

I'd be interested in all the other air con gear as well.

Send me an E if you want to explore further?
