tyre pressure

I have just had 275-60-15 tyres fitted to 8x15 rims for the rear of my charger, what pressure should i run them on ?
Are we there yet dad ..... 10 to the gallon but worth it.

I run the same size tyres on my E-body on 8x15 rims and run them at 25psi but its a question of what worls for you! keep your eye on the tyre wear if it appears that you are wearing the centre of the tyre drop the pressure but if wearing the outer edges increase the pressue. I did run as low as 20psi and as high as 29psi untill I got the pattern correct. A quick tip is to lightly wet the tyre and roll the car forward over some nice smooth ground and see what pattern is left you should be able to tell what sort of contact patch you have with the road.

I usually run 30psi on most cars no matter what the tyre size and as much as 35psi on long runs for less rolling resistance. Never had uneven tyre wear.

I run 33psi on the Neon and it feels better on the road than at 30 and lower.

Running different pressures front and rear can be used to fine tune under/over steer.
