Lock to lock

Post by NaughtyAlan »

Im getting more left lock than right lock, the track control arms look even.
Is there a master spline on the steeringbox and pitman arm.

My pitman arm only goes on in one position due to splineage. Take the drag link off then do your lock to lock, half it and see if the pitman is lined up with the drag link with wheels straight ahead.

With the steering centered ( lock to lock counting the turns and then halveing it) the inner track rod ends should be in line with the the torsion bars, if they are off to one side then that's your problem, pitman arm is not on the box in the correct location. If it is but your wheels ain't pointing straight ahead, then you need to adjust the tracking at that point until they are.
