b body speedo cable

cable has been discontected from the back of the speedo...can i see where..feel where it goes ..can i h...

any tips?

not easy to re attach, with mine I found that when I disconnected the cable it dropped back abit. you can get your hand in far enough behind the dash (left side of dash sitting where it should and right side pulled forward) from the right hand side (as you look at it) and grab the cable between your first and second finger (like holding a cigarette) feel for the hole that the cable fits into with your thumb and pull forward gently, this should do it, it took me a 3 or 4 attempts as you tend to be working blind. Awkward but can be done

You can do it with the dash in place if you drop under the dash with yer head on the pedals and your feet over the seat back!

If you pull the dash forward pull the battery leads first as you are very close to the ammeter cables which are permanant live and will catch the dash frame.

You can see how it works if you shine a torch up there, make sure the cable is free before you fit it.
