I use a hydraulic puller, wind it up with the nut still on but loose (A friend still has a sort of 3-leg puller brand from doing one without the nut on!) Give it a whack with a hammer, if this doesn't pop it off just show it some heat remembering it's just the Pitman arm that needs it, don't go mad and torch the seal! Philth has my Hydraulic Puller if you need a lend of it. (He's in BillyDicky)

I have just changed the pitman arm on my Dart with a hydraulic puller and it took about 2 minutes, absolutely amazing.
The last one i did a few years back, i broke the 3 legged puller i had and ended up taking the steering apart and pressing it off.
