Can anyone provide me the correct distance between the leading edge of the door mirror from the leading edge of the door please?
Oh, and is there an easy way to access the fixing nut (for the mirror body stud) from inside the door case?
Thanks Guy, but they are different on the 68-70 B body. The mirror uses one screw from mirror base into the door body, but also has a fixed threaded shaft near the forward edge of the mirror that requires a nut to be attached from within the door.
Commander, the distance from the leading edge of the mirror to the leading edge of the door is 20 & 1/4 inch, or another way is to line it up with the upright of the quarter window. To put the nut on remove the door panel, have the window all the way up and put your arm up inside while getting someone to hold the mirror or open quater window and hold the mirror yourself, thats how i did it on mine, good luck and don't let the drill slip when drilling the holes
Are we there yet dad ..... 10 to the gallon but worth it.

Hi Derek,
Thanks for that info and the great pics, really useful as I have drivers and passenger mirrors to fit. I shall crack on with the job soon! 8)
