Shakey's April 87

Post by Mick70RR »

Scanned a few pictures in, these had April 87 written on the back. No idea whose cars they are.

The green 69 Superbee was, and still is, owned by a guy called George. Now has a Stage V Hemi head conversion on a 440 and was circuit raced by Martin Saville of RPM in the 90's (he's the bare chested one in the Charger pic).

The yellow 68 Coronet R/T is Chris Mulholland's old car, now owned by Howard Holmes (Tim's brother). Was at the EuroNats last week.

The yellow 68 Roadrunner was owned for many years by Pete Webb, passed through the hands of Jim Wilson recently.

I think the red 68 Charger is Roger Bannister's old car 3 VVO, and that looks like him standing behind it, when he had hair...

You're right Steve - 3 VVO wasn't Roger's old Charger. Another senior moment  I got muddled because Roger bought his EF8 69 Charger from them back in the 80's (and still has it).

I was looking at the yellow Coronet at the Nats, didn't realise it was the same car.
