Tim was advised to replace this with a 4bbl carb but i think I can save it.
I have my work cut out for me though...

The heat must have been quite intense for a while there. The vacuum diaphram canisters have melted. Possibly started by a fuel leak. I found the fuel lines and fuel bowl adaptors were all loose. So that was a possible source of the leak. All the other screws etc were very tight due to the heat.
It is just as bad inside the carbs. Water has been poured down each carb and they have corroded inside.
This is not going to be easy. Wish me luck!
